Rooted in Experience. Driven by Purpose.

We’re Marc and Tülay—two people who crossed paths through auditing and stayed connected through a shared belief: that audits can truly make a difference.

Our paths have taken us across continents, companies, plants, and boardrooms. Along the way, we’ve seen what works—and what gets in the way. World of Auditing was born from that experience and from a simple idea: Making audits stand out, to find their real value.

This is where we share our stories, what is close to our hearts, and why we do what we do.

Meet Marc Cwikowski

I was born in 1962 in the French-speaking part of Belgium, the son of Polish parents who instilled in me the values of hard work, courage, and integrity. My father was a coal miner and a rescuer, and my mother worked in a munitions factory—both of which shaped my deep respect for perseverance and resilience.
From a young age, I was curious about the world around me—collecting insects, rocks, and plants—and I developed a love for cooking by helping my mother in the kitchen. That passion for food and science led me to study food technology, a field that perfectly combined creativity with technical expertise.

My professional journey began at Unilever, followed by roles at SGS and The Coca-Cola Company, where I spent over a decade in global leadership positions focused on quality and food safety. Later, at Danone, I led the Food Safety Center in Paris and served as VP of Quality and Food Safety for their Early Life Nutrition division in Amsterdam.

In 2018, after more than 20 years in the corporate world, I returned to Brussels to launch All Food Consulting, a company dedicated to advancing food safety and quality. In 2019, following a major project on audit strategy, I partnered with Tülay Kahraman to create the World of Auditing initiative, which became a co-founded company in 2022.

I’m driven by passion, curiosity, and a belief in doing the right thing. I love challenging norms, finding smarter ways to grow, and helping others develop their full potential.

Family is my foundation. My daughter, Lola, runs her own interior design business in Lisbon; my son, Lucas, flies around the world as a B-747 cargo pilot; and I share my life with Clare, whose love and support inspire me every day. My mother remains a cherished presence in our lives.

Outside of work, I’ve been running for two decades and recently started competing in triathlons. My personal goal is simple: to live a healthy, joyful life with the people I care about while continuing to learn, grow, and make a positive impact through my work.

Meet Tülay Kahraman

I was born in Konya, Türkiye, in 1971, the middle of three daughters in a modest yet education-focused family. My father was a civil servant and my mother a devoted homemaker who taught us that a meaningful life begins with a “decent profession.”

A quiet and curious child, I was drawn to math, reading, and music. Growing up in a lively family home filled with cousins, I often turned to puzzles and books for focus and inspiration. My late grandfather, a gentle influence in my early life, nurtured my curiosity and self-belief. Those formative years shaped my love for logic and learning, guiding me to study Food Engineering.

My career began at the Turkish Standards Institution, where I was introduced to auditing and laboratory sciences—an experience that laid the foundation for everything that followed. It also took me abroad for the first time, to Belgium, where I would later return to take on global roles.

I joined Coca-Cola Bottlers of Türkiye and later relocated to Belgium to work within the company’s global audit team, visiting production sites worldwide. Afterward, I held leadership roles in R&D and Quality with Cadbury, which later transitioned into Kraft Foods and Mondelez International. My journey continued in South Africa as RDQ Lead for Sub-Saharan Africa, and later at Pladis Global, where I led global integration projects within R&D.

In 2017, I faced two major life events—cancer and corporate redundancy—that profoundly reshaped my perspective. Those challenges sparked a renewed sense of purpose and courage to start anew. In 2019, I founded my own business and soon after co-founded World of Auditing with Marc Cwikowski.

Integrity, trust, and fairness have guided every stage of my journey. My most significant sources of pride are my husband, Tayfun, and our two daughters, Deniz and Defne Lal, both of whom are studying industrial engineering.

Running has recently become my new passion, with the goal of completing a marathon before turning 55. The work I do today combines freedom, purpose, and fulfillment. I see audits not only as assessments, but as opportunities to empower people, strengthen systems, and create lasting value across organizations.
