Sharing Experience and Knowledge Beyond Competition

This belief lies at the heart of the Corporate Audit Forum (CAF), an initiative under World of Auditing that, since 2019, has brought industry leaders together to share insights, exchange experiences, and collectively strengthen practices across the value chain.

Many organizations approach audits through an internal lens, focusing on their own procedures, data, and risks. But when multiple stakeholders of the industry share best practices, the collective knowledge far exceeds what any single company can achieve alone. Transparency, lessons learned, benchmarking insights, and innovative solutions become freely available, improving the robustness of audits at every level.

CAF was created precisely to facilitate those non-competitive, trust-based conversations. Its structure ensures regular, purposeful engagement in a safe environment where members learn from each other, not against each other.

CAF operates through a combination of face-to-face workshops and virtual meetings, carefully structured to maximize value and participation:

  • Face-to-face workshops: Held twice a year and lasting 1.5 days each, these gather members at participating companies’ locations. Each session focuses on 2–3 priority topics selected by participants, and a summary report follows every workshop to share key takeaways.
  • Virtual meetings: Four times a year, members meet in online sessions, diving deeply into a specific aspect of auditing. Thanks to the hybrid model, organizations stay connected without the constraints of travel.

Importantly, CAF members help define the scope and direction of both face-to-face and virtual activities—ensuring the forum remains relevant, practical, and member-driven.

Gaining knowledge from an industry with established auditing practices improves our judgment and recognizes food safety auditing as a crucial safety discipline, comparable to those in the most demanding industries.
